Mark Wade’s second album “Moving Day” with his great musicians:
Scott Neumann (drums) and Tim Harrison (piano)

“This is straight-ahead modern jazz done right. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing experimental, and everything to like.”(www.birdistheworm.com)
“Moving Day cemented Wade’s place as both a consummate performer and gifted composer of intelligent thought and emotional depth. The tunes this time around are more personal, so personal that I was moved to tears on more than one occasion.” (festivalpeak.com)
we support these concerts together with basszentrum.berlin

Tango Ensemble faux pas
For their new album they arranged and recorded a fine selection from Traditional Tango Compositions to Tango Nuevos by composers like A. Piazzolla, G. Lynch and R. Galliano. Vocal songs and instrumentals are found equally on the record. Their interpretations are convincing by clarity in sound and arrangement. Individual virtuosity and sensitivity of the musicians are noticeable throughout but never interfere with the ensemble sound as a whole.

A beautiful Tango Selection: traditional Tango, Tango Nuevo, Tango Jazz, Tango Chanson performed by some of europe’s best tango ensembles: La Bicicleta, Bassa, Faux-Pas, Duo Diagonal, Hamburg Tango Quintet, Flutterband Trio and some Jazz and Classical Artists, who interpret tango in their very own way: FraGILe, Jonas Schoen, Unerhört Fagott.

But it is quite different, most of the music which is strongly influenced by composers like Olivier Messiaen especially his „Quatuor pour la fin du temps“ and the „Klangästhetik“ of Alban Berg and Sergey Prokofiev is improvised, combined with parts that are completely written out compositions. By using this approach Jos Rinck/Flute, Petra Woisetschläger/Piano and Udo Betz/Doublebass create their very own genre which they label as „Enhanced Interpretation“ and „Improvised Chamber Music“.

Songs von u.a.
we interpreted in our very own way songs of Massive Attack, Billy Joel, Sade, America and Duke Ellington among others.
We did the whole audiophile recording and mixing in Berlin with Volker Greve.
Also in our team we had on most of the songs guitar player Lars Martens.
“Die Stimme von Petra Woisetschläger zeigt so viele Facetten auf, dass es einem den Atem raubt.”
“……Die Sängerin verfügt über eine dunkle, riesige Sangeskraft………. Äußerst expressiv ist ihr Ausdruck, das Album richtig gut, im Sinne der strengen RONDO-Bewertung.”
